Born in 1998, 98KC might be a name you are not most familiar with just yet, but you will recognize the musician's hard work in his craft and stage presence. A talented rising star in the making, who continuously brings a hard work ethic into the art of hip-hop/rap/alternative music on a day-to-day basis. As one of the most promising Pacific North West rising artists from Spokane, he has become a person who practices any and all of the various creative arts skills that pertain to being a proficient Master of Ceremonies (MC) on and off stage. 98KC is an extremely skilled, gifted and experienced emcee who can electrify the crowd with his high energy performances and all-around ability to rock each & every platform in a show business setting! 98KC is Known for his versatile showmanship while bringing sold out shows to life, such as concerts for Afroman, Philthy Rich, Sam Lachow, Caskey, Twista and many more... besides selling out his own headline shows of 200-300+ people in Spokane, WA and other cities around the PNW. From rolling up blunts for Caskey and Twista to performing 100's of shows, 98KC is a humbled next level musician. 
     As an artist who’s been performing on stage since he was 16 years old, 98KC, who is now 24 years young, has become exceptionally comfortable performing in any music gallery setting, while always bringing a high level of live entertainment to watch. Enduring constant creation for new sounds and encountering new waves of music, 98KC has hours of music to listen to and a great deal to offer the fans who want to experience the vibes for themselves. He has been described as “high end entertainment with hype/ chill /upbeat new wave music and catchy lyrics that make people of all ages want to sing along”.       

How it all started:

     98KC began writing music his sophomore year in high school of 2013/14. Creating some of his first songs on the SoundCloud platform that same year. His inspiration started around the 5th grade when he first listened to Kid Cudi, Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa. Truly inspired by their music, he wanted to create his own music and express himself through his art. Music was the only thing that mattered to 98KC because it was the sole thing that kept his peace of mind and sanity in the crazy world we live in. Raised in a single parent environment most of his life, constructing music became an escape from the reality he was dealing with. After witnessing his father deal drugs to make ends meet, 98KC wanted to do better in life. Seeing a brighter future in his music production, he stayed true to his roots and continued pushing forward to achieve his musician goals. His first music Soundcloud song became a video made with an iPhone when he was 16. He was known as KC with Family First back then. The song was/is called "Grind Mode" featuring a local artist named Treveezy. The song is not his best work, however, he got off the ground doing a number of shows around the city of Spokane and state during those high school years. As he gained the respect from many other artists, fans and venue owners around the PNW, he embarked a new beginning that opened up several doors for performing more concerts. Dropping his first mixtape “My Aura” in 2017 along with a handful of singles over the years, he has become a true creative performance artist. The artist you are watching and listening to right now, has adapted to the name of 98KC! The name aligns with his birth year and first/last initials of his actual birth name. He dropped an album called “ROOM98” in 2021 and has several collaboration singles with some of the best underground Artist’s from around the globe. 90% of his music has been made off the top without pen and paper. He seems to create the majority of his music by freestyle but has set forth to establish himself as a stellar writer also. 98KC has really shown who he is becoming and that he isn’t going anywhere. Music will continue to evolve and bring constant challenges that 98KC is up for. There is no turning back! 98KC is here to stay for life! 

     In the end, all 98KC wants to accomplish, is to be remembered as one of the hardest working and best artists on stage, in the studio and in the industry. Honoring his fans by making quality music is of extreme importance to his vision. There is also a drive to serve a bigger purpose and do what is possible in helping change the world to be a better place through music.
